Broken Spirit

I've had this drawing of broken Yuma lying around for quite some time.. It was initially drawn as a way of venting my emotions and also trying to do a little something based on the events in Zexal during Yuma and III's duel in which he...basically lost everything all at once. His friends. His key. Astral. And his Kattobingu - his will of never giving up, determination to fight on despite how hopeless it may seem and his courage to fight off his fears and face them. He lost everything and for a while was nothing but a broken, empty, fearful shell too scared to do anything, too lost to go on and then when he regained that and remembered everything he discovered that his comrade and friend Astral was gone and it broke him even more until he found the strength in his heart to keep fighting /for/ Astral.
Those episodes gave me WAY too many feels.
But yes...this is based on those scenes where Yuma's emotionally breaking into pieces. The background is roughly based off the original scenes (I say roughly because my skills on GIMP aren't good enough to make it as perfect as I'd like it to be). The ground is really quite mediocre but I'll improve with time and practice.

Don't you just want to pull him out of the computer and hug him and never let go and tell him everything is going to be okay? I sure do...
